Virgo · Pisces
One of you fixes it. One of you dissolves into it.
Virgo and Pisces sit opposite, both mutable, ruled by Mercury and Neptune. Virgo sees the flaw and cannot leave it alone. Pisces takes the temperature of the room before their coat is off. Each is very good at exactly the thing the other cannot do, which is the pull, and the trap.
What pulls
Virgo is used to being the one who notices, which is a lonely job, and Pisces does not need to be corrected, because Pisces was never trying to be right. Pisces is used to being told they are impractical, and here is someone who simply handles the practical thing without a lecture. For a while each of them feels like the other has quietly removed a weight.
Where it grinds
Virgo’s help is love. It is also, received on a bad day, a running commentary on everything you did not do properly. Pisces does not argue, because Pisces does not argue, and instead goes soft, and vague, and slightly absent, which Virgo experiences as being stonewalled by fog. Then Virgo tightens, and Pisces recedes further, and nobody has raised their voice once.
The long version
Left alone, this pairing sorts itself into a manager and a managed, and both of them end up quietly resentful of a bargain neither remembers agreeing to. It works when Virgo stops offering improvements nobody asked for and Pisces starts saying no out loud instead of by evaporation. Whether either can is not written in the Sun sign. It tends to be written in Saturn.
